Default 1.8 HGF, or could it be something else

Hi Guys
A little advise if you can help.
1.8 with possible HGF......oil in the coolant.........its suspected to be the HG, but I was just wondering if the oil in the coolant could be caused by something else ???

The only way to get engine oil into the coolant is via a failed gasket or seal. It's typically the head gasket, but there's an oil/water interface in the turbocharger (which you don't have). Another potential pathway is across a corroded oil cooler matrix (which you don't have either).

Another sign of hgf is if you try and put the heater on but it remains cold......that's what happened to me
