R75 service
Hi all,
Just had my car serviced, but as this is a new garage I have tried out just wanted to ask what colour the oil should be now,[as it is like a amber/ slightly dark honey colour (is this right? ), also how would I know by looking at it if the oil filter has been changed..... the colour of the oil is like the bottom right of pic. New oil in a petrol engine will be honey coloured (unless you add something like bright green Duckhams), so it sounds OK to me. Oil filters in service for a year or so are usually looking a bit splattered with grime. However, the engine underpanel keeps a lot at bay, so it's difficult to be certain by looking. You have to take their word I'm afraid. It's why a lot of owners do the servicing themselves.
