Mirror Stanchions
The pic below is from Paul's powerfold mirror 'How To' here http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...=fraction+cost
My passenger mirror doesn't sit at the correct angle so it's useless from the driver's seat - hence I'm trying to establish whether it's sitting on a LHD stanchion or not. Paul's How To says that the two stanchions shown below are for RHD (on the left in pic) and LHD (right in pic). What is the difference between them - is it the curved edge leading out onto the pod platform (i.e. RHD is more curved than LHD)? The only other difference I can see is that one stanchion has a metal stop pin and the other doesn't - but this is probably a powerfold stop (so it woudn't be present on non-powerfold stanchions). Here's my passenger stanchion with a powerfold mirror - I think it's the same as the RHD one in Paul's pic above but the glass doesn't angle in enough to be seen from the driver's seat. This is the glass at maximum in-swing. No use from driver's seat. Last edited by Simon W; 1st March 2016 at 23:48.. |

Simon
the arm is slightly longer and at a different angle.....ISTR that the mirror is right on the limit of it's adjustment if you fit LHD to a RHD car
