![]() Going on holiday soon taking wifeys laptop with us to put the pictures on, just learn't the hotel has wireless internet (for free I think)
Laptop isnt Wifi, was only cheap and cheerfull, obvious question is what do I use to connect when I'm over there? I imagine some sort of dongle type thing?

![]() all you need is a usb wifi dongle like this.

Atheros AR5007eg wireless network adaptor ?

![]() There's probably an icon in the system tray, possibly with a Red X on it. Try double clicking it & looking at the options.

![]() Agreed with the above. It may need enabling. Disabling it will conserve battery life when you are not needing it. It may be a switch on the side, or a button as others have said. There may be a key press Fn and one of the F keys at the top for example to switch it on and off.
On device manager, does all appear normal with it. (Ie, no yellow ! mark). |
