mg6/roewe550 to be built at longbridge

this is not yet official.
according to a member of another forum who has just visited longbridge.
test builds on the old 75 track have taken place to make sure it fits
when asked they confirmed european cars will come from longbridge as the chinese factory can't cope with expected demand.
apparantly production will start at longbridge as soon as a diesel engine is confirmed.
the next generation tf has also been confirmed for longbridge.
no news on other models yet ,but it is starting to look good.

That would be wounderful news for mainland people in the region. Who would have thought it. And if they get them built to british standards then uk buyers will have a good choice. I think FAIT will end up supplying the Diesel engines.

According to sources at SAIC... no new TF has yet been designed so its at least 3 years off.
