Default Power socket

The Rover manual mentions an optional power socket which is housed in the front armrest centre console. Has anyone ever fitted one and is there a power pick-up point on the wiring harness?

Many thanks, GG.... saved me hours of searching - although I'll probably still scour the pages of this great site in the hope of finding a few enlightening morsels!

Power sockets are very easy to install but even if you only buy the socket and not the harness it is very easy to either wire into the existing socket or directly to a switched line with enough amps.

I've wired one directly into the battery with a inline fuse to provide power when the car is off..

Buy yourself a power socket and torch kit and I'll do it at the same time.
