Default Roewe Vitesse Due to be launched on 1st April 2009

NAC and SAIC have today launched a very special MG TF for the Chinese market. The car will be badged as Roewe Vitesse due to the Chinese desire for Luxury not sporty cars.

The new car will have a 'Roverised' interior with walnut, leather seats and cream dials and most importantly for the local market chopstick holders.

Under the bonnet the Roewe has a 1.1 litre A-series engine with a 0-60mph time of 14.09 seconds.

The ride has been raised to cope with rural Chinese roads and it features four-wheel-drive as standard to help the car negotiate muddy rice fields.

The Roewe Vitesse will be on sale in Chinese MG Roewe dealers from 1st April 2009 and will cost the equivalent of £14,009
