![]() This Friday SLJ went out to work for the first time in its new colour, engine and gearbox. The lower colour is MGR monogram Aubergine and now has a 180 V6 MG engine and gearbox.

![]() Did you put a 180 engine in because the original 75 2.5 was no good?

Yes the original one blew up me on a family trip to Beaulieu in 2022 with my grandchildren. As our other hearse has a 180 engine and gearbox which is how MacNellie received it from MGR I thought it would be a great idea to make them Zt’s with the view of hiring out to MG enthusiast funeral. I purchased a 180 saloon and stripped it for its parts . I do intend to replace the interior with a set of cream sports summit set which I purchased sometime ago and get the middle seat covered in the same. Currently I can’t get the old one out as it’s stuck on one side. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by LimoRog; 4th June 2024 at 16:33.. |

![]() Love Aubergine - one of, if not the best in the range. Cannot understand why so few were finished in it, unless the brochure did not do it justice. Has a tendency to look a bit brown in print.
