Our smart meter which we've had since day one of them coming out has been playing up lately, so British Gas are going to install a new generation one in a couple of weeks time free of charge, Aside from the 7.9p/kWh EV tariff from 00:00 to 05:00, The new smart meter will let us have half price electricity on Sundays from 11:00am-4:00pm on the Peak save Sundays tariff.

I charged the MG ZS EV to 100% & let the traction pack do a balance on the battery cells yesterday in the five-hour window of half price electricity (12.25p/kWh) every Sunday from 11:00 to 16:00 from British gas on the EV tariff I also did all the laundry & tumble drying too, Cheap as bloomin' chips.

Default One for my lad?

My son is in the process of buying a 21 reg MG HS Exclusive PHEV Auto. Can you make any suggestions or give any advice? It's from a local MG dealer, so should have warranty etc. Mike

Congrats to him they're a very nice car indeed from what I've read, I was reading through some comments on the HS/Phev forum on the MGEV's forum the other month about the in's & out's of them, I'm not much up to speed on that model.

There's a host of info on there with many people liking them & sharing their experience. https://www.mgevs.com/threads/though...nership.14795/
