Default Rimmer Bro's getting grim

Was in Lincoln today on other business so took oppurtunity to "try" collect some rear exhaust rubber hangers for Nigel my ZT-T, this kind.

https://rimmerbros.com/Item--i-WCS100212

Sadly they tried to fob me off with hangers for the rover 200/ZS

https://rimmerbros.com/Item--i-WCS000240

Getting tired of this grind thought Rimmers where better than that, to top it off they had the balls to charge me the full price of the ZT ones which is twice as much. When he checked his screen turns out the ones i ordered are out of stock, somebody decided to do that and im pretty annoyed about it very weary of Rimmers after that little excursion... Heading over to DMGRS now..

BTW i left Rimmers today feeling a bit sore without mentioning the great deal on Engine oil i found earlier in week as orderd 20L on Monday enough for next couple of years hopefully and it arrived by Tue dinner time with free shipping! sorted! (wasnt sure anything would come tbh)

Sometimes for me the website goes a bit wierd but you can find the oil here and i have no interest in this website other than sharing a good deal with friends.

Thanks, l've ordered 20 litres too. It won't last two years as my car burns oil but still a good deal. You used to be able to get 25 litres of oil quite easily but it only seems to be 20's now.

Thats cool glad i could help and if you use more as burning oil well fill ya boots lol whislt thegetting is good. I went for 4x 5L bottles for easy use and still stupid cheap but Nigel never loses a single drop of oil is the CDTi being a big reliable beast lol. Supposed to use 6.8L for a oil change but only ever need to use 6L to get my dip stick to the top dunno but i go with it never had trouble or lost a drop/had to top up more on this car and just hit 209K

once upon a time andnot so long ago oil could be got by us none trade consumers lol on the old bank holiday special at the usual places but those days have been over for a while and there is much change in supply and availability with places like halfords actually abandoing long known brands like Mobil which is crackers imo ( i aksed in store last week where the mobil 2000 super x had gone to and they said higher ups withdrew it in favour of some brand nobody here heard of lol. I dont know how this online retailier is going to exist long term with such discounted prices and with world events as they are think its prudent to get "consumable" things for the car sooner rather than later as we just a missle barrage short of global shipping shut down and talk of scrapping the QE carrier by sending it to sink in the red sea lol etc.

Eyes open..... And dont let established supposed "trusted" partners abuse you because these are straneg times and greed can be blinding to them. Im still reeling over my minor rimmers experience but sure i will be over that by the weekend with a noted lesson learned to be more Fox mulder in that place.

Sorry to hear of your experience - Rimmers are usually very good to deal with.

We do have the 'correct' WCS100212 in stock here: https://www.dmgrs.co.uk/products/rov...cs100212-oem-q

They have the original-specification failsafe strap as pictured too.

If you need a hand, give us a call or an email

Hi, yes i was and still am very suprised by what went on and its your items i now fall back to for the record you where mentioned in rimmers when they told me the ones i ordered where actually out of stock but this was after they took my money for them and gave me the wrong ones with a big fake cheesey grin (slimey toad style)

I mean sombody at rimmers picked that order and decided i was to be given the wrong item at the price of the right item for extra points i suppose that whats irks me and i suppose there is issue with allowing your system to let customers order items that are out of stcok as well lol, total trust destroyed twice maybe three times!. For the record the two rubber hangers they offered where also pretty tatty and covered in paint spray. they put a sticker on them for the right code of WCS100212 but underneath the rubbers actually had the ZS number moulded in and it was the WCS000240.

I think this is beyond incompotence but i have noted whenever im at Rimmers these days none of the cars in the employee car park are MG rover any more and i once arrived there at 5:25pm to collect an order as i had been fighting traffic to even get there knowing they close at 5:30pm but as i tried to enter the building on time the entrance was just rimmer staff with bags on shuolders about ready to pile out all giving me the eye saying where closed mate sorry but im there before closing pointing looking at the counter saying theres my order look just go get it you have a good 4 minutes to make it over there and back lol but no fks given very sad. There's poor moral in that place i can smell it like a decaying carcas they appear to have made the mistake MG Rover made which was terminal, they put profit before quality and customer service it never ends well. That was my experience anyway im sure there are others more positive...

To be honest, my experience with them has always been very good - but we deal with their back-office team more than the customer-facing staff.
I've used them many times in the past before founding DMGRS, but that was of course many (many) years ago now.

I will say that finding staff with a passion for the brand is incredibly hard, nigh impossible - I can understand if they're struggling to employ enthusiasts.

We're a very small close-knit team because we're not very keen on bringing in people from 'outside' the MG Rover world who don't have a love for the cars.
It's meant that there's only 3 of us on the customer-facing side (myself - Mat, the founder, Scott - the current owner and Max, our customer service / resident MGF / TF expert), which is in itself a challenge, but we all live and breathe MG Rover which does help things along a bit.

Either way - I hope you've found the bits you're after, and give us a shout if you need a hand with anything.

"Fail Safe Strap" Well, whaddya know, You learn something new every day!
The rubbers on my ZT-T don't have them but I'm planning a replacement back box hanger assembly when you get stock so I'll be replacing them then.
