I have the type with the three LEDs that monitor the charge state depending on the colour of the LED, very useful. |

I have the same lead with 3 leds, within a year of fitting the leds stopped indicating correctly. Whenever I open the bonnet they show red (yet it always starts the car & shows 12.2-12.5vdc on themultimeter) If the engine is running green . Ctek replaced the lead, the same happened with the new one. So I now ignore the led status & just use my multimeter.

The chart below says your battery at 12.2 is only 60% 1

Hi Steve,
Yes 12.2 is 60%, but should not show as a 'red' led. It should be 'amber'. I sent Ctek support images of the led + meter reading (in the same image) which was why they replaced the original lead set. edit: From the Ctek website:
These values may have changed since I had issues a few years back.

Mine is hammered metal finish, silvery. My friend has had around three ctek chargers over around 20 odd years. As they say, ‘ they don’t make them like they used to’.
