Unclip the bottom of the eyebrow.
Remove 2 screws underneath
Remove eyebrow
Unscrew 2 screws holding radio
Pull out the unit

That easy and 10 mins after posting?
Damn you’re good.

Ps when you say remove 2 screws underneath, I assume underneath the eyebrow?

There's a plastic plate pressed into the bottom of the eyebrow, which you just lever off carefully - then you'll see the 2 screws. Behind that will be another 2 holding the stereo in at the top.

It is VERY easy to drop screws down inside the console and never see them again, he said, from bitter experience

Thanks. Fortunately I wouldn’t give a damn as I’m scrapping it Saturday.
Do you need anything ?

Hi,looking at the photo I presume the MG has the black Oak trim,if so and if possible I would be interested in the black Oak trim from below the heater panel, not the gearstick suround as I have a 260 which has a different size tunnel. If not possible then no worries.

Sure, I’ll take a look later. Is it the surround for the buttons?

Hi,it's below the heater panel/display,it is the blank plate where the optional buttons for heated seats can be fitted and below that the cup holder cover plates and ciggy lighter.Usually they are part of the whole ashtray assembly.Im not desperate for the ashtray assembly as the 260 does not have room for it but I would take one of it is easier to remove via the screws complete. If not no worries will keep trying.
Regards Ry...
