Could be something as simple as a failed LP pipe connection O ring Rev. Needs a thorough cleaning and then with the engine at idle spotting the source. Had a weeping HP connection once coming from one of the injector supply pipes.Did the above and wrapped all the pipes with tissue paper and then watched the damp patch appear. Just needed nipping up.

I'm guessing at a split fuel hose under the battery tray Julian, hope you resolve it soon.

Not serious danger of fire has diesel is not like petrol, but even so you need to check if it is the fuel hose i am talking about, because if it holes properly you will break down, it is easy enough to tie back out of the way with a cable tie.

You don't want to be leaving a trail of diesel down the road for motorcyclists.

I have rectified several FBH fuel line leaks, one was a perishing rubber elbow under the battery box that threw its toys out the pram, new elbow & clips, sorted.
Whip out the battery box for a good butchers. If you checkout the Haynes manual, you will have to whip off the rear bumper to get to the battery box. You will have to remove the front road wheels to get to the rear bumper. You will have to remove the air filter to get to the front road wheels. Job done.
