![]() I can vouch for the efficiency of the ABS on the old girl, travelling back from man air at around 3.30am this morning doing 60 mph on the stockbridge bypass MR fox decided to run out in front of me about 5 meters up the road, jump on brake MR fox decides after making it to the centre of the road to turn left and run back for cover ,gap now down to 1 meter steer right see fox disappearing under n/s headlight still on brake just feel the slightest touch on the bumper, wife daughter and daughters boyfriend all rudely awaken from their slumber. Just been out to check car no marks no blood no tufts of fur anywhere lucky MR fox

![]() Had a similar experience back in the late 80s in my Audi 80. Dog was asleep on the back seat, it was about midnight and deer appeared. Managed to slow enough to bump his backside and knock him over but he was back up and ran off into a field. Grille cracked and a some deer fur caught in the crack.
My dog eventually dragged himself out of the footwell behind my seat and gave me the "WTF was that?" look. |
