A whole week and 500 miles on, all is well. I finally have a good running M47R BMW diesel in our Rover 75.
I spent £300 + on diagnostic gear, £80 on bits, but without the help of some regular contributors on this forum (Heads up for bigruss and marinabrian...). I would have failed to keep our car on the road.
So I still love our rover but how come the management, our country, and our government can spend £15000000000 pounds on crossrail but can't stop Rover going bust followed by the ultimate insult of the 'scrap' tooling being sold to China...
end of rant.

Glad you've got a fix Graham. Your rant was spot on just wish more people would rant, save the banks bail them out, shocking, a country is only as good a what it makes, we need to tell successive governments we need manufacturing, my rant over
