Default Stalling over but new prob now!

Stalling sorted by replacing dodgy fuel pump relay but now, car won’t start on the odd occasion. Power to the fuel pump is there as I can hear it but car turns over but doesn’t start. Leave it/try it after a mo and it starts fine. Cam sensor maybe?

non starts possibly the Cam sensor - when she does not start does the rev counter flicker - if not then that points to the crank sensor.

I’ll check that next time and post the result. I think, like someone else on here I read about, our car is going through all the problems that our cars commonly have! At 17yrs old I suspect I’m right.

on the 1.8t/1.8 a common intermittent start failure is down to a dirty/corroded spade connector to the starter motor - not sure of the set up on the diesel.

The cam sensor will cause non start issues but also check when the car wont start does the oil light on the dashboard work? Also have you checked the plenum is dry

Plenum dry (recent ECU from bigruss). When cluster is back from Rick (replacing IPK screen) I can check flickering rev counter etc.
