Have you any plans to fix the n/s tailgate gas-strut mounting?
There are a few folks on here who have used various weld and non-weld ideas. Apologies in advance for the expanding foam that I had used in the past.. I can report that that does not work. I did find that, as long as I opened the rear window fully before raising the tailgate, that the tailgate would stay up, but it was still quite heady to open in with only one working strut. Leaving it this way will probably ultimately cause the o/s strut to fail in the long run if not fixed.

I was referring to the tailgate gas strut mount rather than the suspension struts.
If you are planning to do any suspension work, then I have listed the jobs that have been done so that may want to use this to prioritise what to attend to first. Front n/s Spring replaced 2018 after on-road failure. Drop-links replaced 2018 Hub and strut/top bearing are original. Steering arm gaiter is noted as spilt (since 2021 MOT) Wishbone is original. Wishbone rear bush replaced 2017 Driveshaft destroyed 2021. Front o/s Spring and strut (including /top bearing) replaced 2017 Hub replaced with part from low mileage car 2017 Drop-links replaced 2018 Wishbone replaced 2017 Wishbone rear bush replaced 2017 Steering arm nut is damaged (hopefully you have fixed this now) Driveshaft is original. Rear n/s Spring replaced 2011 Shock absorber and top mounting bracket changed 2019. Wheel bearing changed 2017 Rear o/s Spring is broken at one end but not MOT failure. (a spare spring was provided with the car along with spare suspension bolts), Shock absorber and top mounting bracket changed 2019. Wheel bearing changed 2017.
