We have all done that sort of thing, I remember fetching a P6 from Leicester to Sunderland, got on the M18 to find out the wipers didn't work

Evening all, I didn’t get hothead van washed has it rained on and off all afternoon, then by the time we got back from shopping it was getting dark and absolutely Baltic. So tomorrow rain or shine it has to be done. The initial van I was after has been reserved but I am waiting for another to be brought to the local branch. 17 plate Renault Trafic 57k miles and 13 months Renault warranty remaining for an extra 5 quid a month than the first one, so subject to test drive, it could be the replacement.

I think you’ll be surprised at just how good they actually are, they drive like a car, they go like the clappers & have you ever seen a rusty one?

It’s getting collected at 7 am tomorrow Andy, so needs done regardless. The personnel carrier at work is the Nissan NV300, which used to be called the Primastar, and it’s the same van. I have had it a couple of times returning from a feeder to Dover, this on is the twin turbo 136 hp version and does 40+ mpg. The van I’m looking at is the 125hp version. It still has the remaining manufacturer’s warranty until 31/1/21; so subject to the test drive I should be ok as it’s covered for another year.

Same here, I don’t normally surface on a weekend until about 10; but as usual the son has an activity with air cadets that means I have to take him,as the wife doesn’t know how to get there. This means that by the time next weekend arrives, I will not have had a full weekend off for 5 weeks. I worked 1 day last weekend, and the weekend before and two days the weekend before that. Next weekend I am at a funeral on Saturday and have to get up to take the daughter to an event on Sunday. No peace whatsoever.

Cool

Morning everyone.

Raining.

And I’ve got a stinking cold, going back to bed.

Morning all. another lie in for me again. Flamin' raining again, is it ever going to stop? I'm dying to get in the garden as the moss has taken over my lawns

Looks like shopping day will have to be tomorrow, I'm not going out in this weather & my missus is in bed with a rotten cold, There's no cereal, no bacon or black pudding, just egg on toast for brekkie.

You’re having a rough time of it just now Bob, one cold after another. Maybe you need to drink a bit more malt. Purely for medicinal purposes of course. Look after yourself and get better quick.
