Self adjusting dampers
Hi.
I did remove the self adjusting rear dampers, and put on some standard dampers. Now the car looks like a low rider. I need stronger/longer rear spring to compensate the loss of height. I did this because the self adjusting dampers is to expensive for that old car. Any body here having any advice. The car is Rover 75 tourer diesel Regards Bjorn |

The longer springs you mention won't make any difference as the damper can only open so far.
Is there a car breakers near you that you can get the parts you want from them ?? Or try on E-Bay. |

Check the springs haven't snapped, especially at the tails.

The springs for the original Nivomat self levelling dampers are much softer than non self levelling.
They need to be softer in order for the Nivomats to pump themselves up when loaded. If you fit new standard springs then it should give you the correct ride height. Russ
