Default Farewell Jasper

After a love affair of four years, this afternoon, I waved Jasper off to a new home.
My next door neighbour came to have a look at my new acquisition, the CDTI this afternoon. She asked me what I was intending to do with Jasper, who she has seen me look after day by day.
I realistically can't run two cars, so I told her that reluctantly I had to sell Jasper.
One hour later, she called to say a friend of hers was coming to view Jasper.
Within the hour, he arrived, and after a test drive...we shook hands.

A real bitter sweet moment.

Farewell Jasper, my faithful friend. I don't mind saying I had a tear in my eye when he turned the corner on his way to his new home.

I know exactly how you feel. Watching Tset taken away to the scrappy was one of the saddest days of my life.
But without that happening I wouldn't have Mo. So it's worked out all right in the end

I bought Deanna from a reluctant club member - he had tears in his eyes when he got out of the car and now 2 years / 20k later, I get it ....

When I sold my first ever ZTT “the Gray Goddess” in 2012 I imeadiatly knew it was a mistake but the buyer wouldn’t sell her back
Spent 6 years looking and finally go her back in an almost derilict state but so glad to have her back, even if she is fighting me every inch of the way back to showroom standard

My 75 made the decision for me, it hit a lamp post. I had dust in both eyes (from the airbag) rather than tears.

The other driver's insurance paid.

Totally understand...my first 75 sallon (not my first Rover) was a V6 that decided to drink more coolant than petrol but funnily enough wasn't the head gasket never had any mayo in, still never found out where it went so sealed it and traded her for CDT Tourer. Had that for several years until the rear brakes decided to collapse, the tin plate the brake shoes attach to had a tin worm problem and I couldn't get the dam things off to replace them... so got myself a Freelander TD4 lots of similar parts front brakes, engine, auto gear box.... so I still though of myself as part of the Rover family... then earlier this year the transfer box and rear diff developed some worrying noise so when the father in law asked if I would be interested in having his face lift cdti tourer I jumped at the chance ...so she mine now and I'm truly back in the Rover fold...
