That's disappointing. The top coat looks fine, but it looks like they didn't take enough care with the repair prior to powder coating . Hopefully they can sort it for you. Cliff

Did they use an angle grinder to "polish up " the rim prior to refurbishing?
I suspect that wheel wasn't prepared at all, or if it was, the "refurbisher" could do with a visit to Specsavers |

Why are people, in this case 'the refurbisher' so lazy...?
As my primary school teacher used to say 'slap dash!' to those (often me) who rushed or didn't pay attention. A phrase I now use a lot on my teenagers I hope they sort it to your satisfaction. Send the missus to sort them AFTER you've told her how much you paid (obviously from a safe distance). If she's anything like my wife she will take out her displeasure on him

Hi Steve.
Expensive work not to be carried out an 100% standard, hope they sort it for you, as above lazy workmanship on preparation why do some people not take care in what they do ? does not make sense if they have to do it all over again.

I took the offending wheel into their reception and dropped it onto the desk, said I wasn't happy with the finish to that wheel.
There was some kerb scuffing to the wheel, pointed it out when I dropped them off... ..not a problem they said. After some discussion between them all, some in Polish which p****d me off a bit, they said they couldn't fill it close to the rim as when the tyre is replaced it would take the filler off. I mentioned that a weld and fill would surely do it... ..that's expensive they said. They quoted me a figure when I dropped them off. By this time there was four of them squashed into the small reception, so I said I would come back and discuss things. Going back this morning. I paid by debit card so cannot stop the transaction or claim off the card people. Annoying. Car's going in this morning to get the mechanic I use to fit the two suspension assemblies bought from Mat at DMGRS. Will drop in on the way.

Finally got the wheels done to my satisfaction!!
Gave the car a bit of polish and clean inside and out, rather pleased with finish. Get under the bonnet and make a start on the engine bay next. Steve.
