engine noise ?

My first thought was water pump bearing. It has pretty low mileage, service history and historical MOT records. I wouldn't be that afraid of it - for the right price.

Could be the power steering pump maybe..you would have to check yourself and take a long screwdriver for a stethoscope..

Try asking the seller if the noise is there permanently, or if it only happens when the ATC is on auto. If it's the latter then it could possibly be the air-con compressor, as mine occasionally makes a whirring noise when running.
