Toughbook Purchase

My old toughbook gave up the ghost a couple of years back and I have been looking to replace it off and on since then. Buying refurbished units (or supposedly refurbished) can be such a minefield and the disclaimers so many of these sellers use can mean that you've bought a wreck with little or no comeback. I've held off as it's not really been a dire need. Took the plunge last week and ordered a grade A. It arrived today and the 100% feedback for the seller is well deserved. Apart from a couple of very minor marks the unit is in superb condition in all respects. Just thought I would share this to shine a little light in the sea of darkness that so many can find themselves with such transactions.

I must stress that I have no connection whatever with the seller but over 8,000 feedback is pretty good. I'm happy to post details of the seller as long as it doesn't contravene club rules. All I can say is that price was very good at £219 and I had made an error (first time ever) in that there was a surcharge for delivery in my area, I contacted the seller, had a reply within two hours. Finding a good, honest reliable seller of toughbooks is pure gold.

What was wrong with your old Tb then, was it not repairable?

It was just too long in the tooth, battery was shot. I picked it up as a scrapper, rebuilt it, used it off and on for four years or so then passed it on to someone in need
