![]() Hi all does anyone have a step by step guide to replacing the rear shock absorbers on a 75. I have a 2.0 v6 but I'm guessing all rovers are same for removal.. Many thanks

![]() Hi, Remove side trim in boot and push towards rear seat back. This will reveal the upper retaining nut. Remove the nut and then jack up car and remove wheel, you will see where the lower nut is (can't remember size) Using a decent bar and socket remove lower nut, and remove shocker. Replacement is reversal of removal. Have a check on rear spring base while your there just in case.

![]() Bear in mind that the shock absorber limits the spring travel, so you will need to jack the hub up a bit to take the weight off the shock absorber before undoing anything, and it is secured to the hub by a bolt.
