Shildon
Just to let you all be aware, myself and Suzublu visited the Hartlepool Royal Navy Museum yesterday and asked if we could use the separate car park adjacent to the museum, and today I got a reply from them and they have said that if we pay £10 a head to enter the museum then they could set us a space aside at no cost, however, if we just wanted to use the car park for just a car show and don't use the museum then the cost is £9 plus VAT per car to park
The other options I enquired about was Walworth Castle, and this morning received a phone call https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Hotel_...er=7&autoplay= and they have said that they can accommodate us, together with Durham MG Club and they could provide a Lunch time Carvery at £9.50 a head, (payable on arrival and meal ticket issued) but they also mentioned that Tees Valley MG Club have also booked the venue, so that would mean that we would have quite a few cars at the venue, I am popping over to Walworth in the morning to discuss further So would you be happy with this venue ? Please let me know asap, What are your thoughts, car show which a carvery lunch. Stu Last edited by Fusilier; 29th January 2018 at 12:03.. |

Walworth Castle looks to be a good alternative. Well done for finding it.
If the Teeside MG lot are there it is a bonus to me. The more cars the better. For those who want it, the Carvery Lunch seems reasonable but can you clarify this is fully optional? |

Not sure if the meal is optional, or not, am going to visit them tomorrow to discuss, but the meal options are full carvery, or Veggie, or even Gluten Free, and at least you are getting something for your money, whereas other two locations are just museums, and nothing basically for the money they want Stu Last edited by Fusilier; 29th January 2018 at 12:31.. |

We go to Bowes quite often, but it is an option, Walworth sounds good with the bonus of the other club attending too & lunch I'll just go with the majority

Will speak to you at next durham mg club meeting, but we have done Bowes Museum a few times and cost is around £12.50 per member, we have not done Walworth so this is the best option at present, and also with a Carvery Lunch, and cheaper than it would be at Shildon Stu |
