I had a pair of these... lasted all of 3 weeks.

That's the problem I've found too. Tried several different ones on my old Rover 45 and they all failed after a couple of months.

Is it possible to buy aftermarket good quality DRL's ?

Mind you, I've started to notice some quite new Range Rovers with one of more of the LED's out on their DRL's .....
