Apparently, theres gonna be a good show tomorrow night with a G2 storm forecast for the early hours of Tuesday. I'll be keeping an eye out and will probably venture out tomorrow night.

Is this the northern lights?? Not that I am ever going to see it in Kent

Yes, the northern lights. If a G2 storm is recorded, you'll be able to see it quite far south in a dark area away from any light pollution looking north.
Last years Mother's Day show was very intense, one of the best in many years. People I'm oxford and further souty witnessed it. I hope it's going to be a good display.

Mean to be a strong reading tonight and early hours so if you have clear skies and go somewhere dark, you may see something. Forecast for Friday may also be promising due to a massive solar flare, one of the biggest in years facing towards earth.

Aurora forecast looking promising tonight with a G2 storm predicted so you southerners may be in with a chance to see it. Only downside is the full moon! Doh! Still a chance, however. I may venture out in a bit.

any idea between what times roughly? Sucks living so close to London, to much light pollution in south essex so can never see the stars or anything like that well round here

I didn’t go out in the end. It’s too cloudy here and combined with a full moon it’s a no go anyway. And the current forecast isn’t very strong. So, bed time for me. Another time.
