Was sent about 2weeks ago Harry, will have to wait for now, as the car has sprung a problem.

Caravan went to the “ doctor” yesterday, to get the heater problem looked at. He says it’s the igniter on the fire, a new one is £94 will have to be ordered in and take it back. Still need to get the fan problem sorted too, he needs to do more investigation, as it’s not the fuse.

Rich, it's possible that the thermal trip has popped on your heater You might find it in your manual.

Mine is a total pain, when I use it on mains hookup, it trips all the time. I have to use an alternative heater.

My heater is a lot older than yours and not the same model or make ( Carver ) but Truma nicked the design when they bought Carver out, and maybe they kept the same thermal trip.

If it was , it would have been discovered by the technician, he says its the igniter, so will see what happens when it goes back to get it fitted.

Sorry Rich, I meant the non-operational fan.

I have a piezo igniter which works when it feels like it and I also had to replace the flame failure device earlier in the year.

Ooh, it's been lots of fun and swearing with the occasional blast of heat.

We always try and get hookup in the winter these days, must be getting old........................... Oh yes, I am.

The 'Gary' I mentioned earlier often came across the fan failure issue where it was usually the controller electronics and he would use the cheaper option of repairing the electronics, rather than replacing the entire unit. Something to think about, Gary is very helpful and has a great deal of expertise.

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.

Yes he is. I bought a replacement power supply from him after I blew mine up by connecting the battery about face.

Ooops.
