Default Email in Outlook

Hi Can any one help with this:

When I open outlook(07) and the send & receive action starts, it keeps saying that it is sending 2 messages, but there are No messages in my outbox to send .

I have checked all the account settings etc, and everything is ok their I just dont know what to try next.

Has anybody come across this before and if so how do I sort it out??

Thanks

Rich

Do you have antivirus software updated and running? I would also check for ominous background programs running and if you don't know what any are then do some checks on them.

Possibly undeliverable read receipts. See if this helps:

I've had exactly the same thing Rich (Outlook 2007 on Vista). Some say the status notification (bottom right of screen) just means it's talking to your router and not necessarily doing what it says.

Anyway, a couple of things you could try:

1. Turn off auto send/receive for a while and see if it stops doing it. (Tools/Options/Mail Setup tab/untick 'send immediately when connected').

2. Have you got 2 email accounts? If so disable one and see what happens.

Thank You ThankYou.

Thats sorted that out excellent, that is one powerfull program. Took me about 10mins from start to finish as i didn't want to make any wrong changes that may have been unrecoverable from.
If anyone else should use this program then please read the help menu before you attempt anything.

Thanks again Kandyman
