The Freelander water pumps are supposed to be better quality, anyone tried one of those on their diesel, they are used in the TD4 I have not read or heard of many of those failing.
Same goes for the thermostat in my opinion. TD4 PEB102470L As opposed to R40 PEB102470 The warranty on the part is worthless if it fails early as in the OP case, because the cost of having the job done again out weighs the if it fails in a certain time it will be replaced ?

What's the general view on Brit part these days? Last time i looked at them on the landy sites the opinions were to stay clear as the parts appeared to be inferior and prone to early wear. |

http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...d.php?t=265949. I made this thread earlier, are landrover parts interchangeable with kv6 v6, same part numbers just with a letter L at the end, and they are cheaper, makes like dayco for the belts and bearmach for the rest and other brands, do you think buying these parts are a good idea? Are they better quality as they are for landrover etc like someone mentioned earlier?

But as always we are talking a different price bracket, depends on the person purchasing the product. http://www.island-4x4.co.uk/water-pu...lg-p-4682.html http://www.brit-car.co.uk/product.ph...r___rover___mg http://www.shop4autoparts.net/parts/...ER-TD4-Diesel/ http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LAND-ROVER...MAAOxydB1Sd~5e Always ask questions before buying, hopefully this should help if seller is reluctant to answer questions stay well away.

http://www.mister-auto.co.uk/en/wate...463_g1260.html I use mister auto alot for parts. Normally the.es site as I'm in Spain. There's a good choice with regards to manufacturers and there is normally always a deal. Today I picked up 2 moog lower arms for €120 delivered to my door. Also the returns policy is fairly painless However, compare the 2 links above...I'm genuinely shocked at the difference in price even allowing for exchange rates it is still a vast difference. |
