Should be £1,000 fine and bailiffs if it's not paid within one month. That would help to concentrate the brain matter. Also their cars should be crushed.

Very true. And how many of the Police Camera Action type programmes do you see drivers caught driving whilst already disqualified, or without a licence in the first place. Complete waste of taxpayers money that they then get taken back to court and disqualified again. HOLD ON A MINUTE......That didn't work the first time, do you really think they are going to be bothered now? Some people will just do what ever they want. Laws, rules, whateverrrrrrrrr! |

Dorset police caught 42 people using the phone whilst driving in 6 hours yesterday.
They included one motorist who already has 6 points on their licence who will now possibly end up with a ban and a young lady that has recently passed her test and admitted to the police that she had discussed the new fines etc with her father at breakfast and she will no doubt be faced with retaking both parts of her driving test. Hard but well deserved lessons for some.. Cheers Ian Last edited by Ian G; 3rd March 2017 at 19:32.. |

Camera in the front and back of my car. On the phone when you are behind me, you are on the camera. I get the wife to turn the camera towards the nearside when overtaking on the motorway, then sound my horn and the wife points to the camera. Surprised how often they put the phone down. No doubt they pick it up just as quick when I have passed them and they realise I am not a noddy car.

What I can't understand is that by far the most of the offenders that I see are driving late high spec cars or 4x4 that come with a Bluetooth system as standard.
are they incapable or just too lazy to use these systems? |
