Default Drivers door lock failure!

Unlocked the car, jumped in and pulled the door shut, bump, bump, bump!

Latch has stuck open and I can't lock the car or shut the door at all! The car is parked up against a telegraph pole to at least discourage anyone getting in.

I can here it making all the right noises, whirring etc when the fob or key is used, but the latch refuses to play ball! Anyone near me with a spare they can sell me or any advice on fitting (as long as I can get one). Car is unscured and I only have tomorrow to fix it

I think you will get information in the stickys at the top of the page or in the search feature for ways of getting inside the door.

It seems as though something has become disconnected or broken in the lock itself though I don't know what it could be.

Sorry.

I have no doubt it's the lock that needs to be changed, I've done a search, but haven't been able to find a guide on removing the front lock, only the rear. It's more how to disconnect the linkages etc.

Door card is off, but not trying it in the dark!

The door latches do not like the freezing weather and can stay open but if yours has been like it for a while that's probably not the issue, found this how to with pictures which will help
