Default Thanks to Marinabrian --- steering wheel

The Classic SE CDT now has a almost new condition steering wheel replacing the poorly worn one that she came with. Your a star Sir it was most appreciated .

Yes it did indeed and it was fitted that evening. Would have been earlier bit was busy dealing witht he buyer of my Blue MGF. One down and two to go on the car selling front.

Here are a couple of shots with the new wheel fitted:-







Also cleaned the air bag while is was off as it was rather dirty as well despite a clean once before just after gettign the car so it is now as it should be smooth and with a nice feel to it unlike before:-







The leather cover is actually pitted and the surface is wearing away bearing in mind she has only done 84k this is bad and shows what driving without cleaning hands does to the finish and leather. Previous owner was a bricklayer.

Looks much better Kevin

I should imagine the small indent at the 10 O'Clock position will spring out, I didn't spot the one or two lost head nails on the shelf in the garage prior to storing it face down

Still a vast improvement over the one it replaces, boy was that in a sorry state

Yes that is why I was going to try and refurbish the original the feeling of the rough bit in the hands was a little off putting and spoilt the pleasure of the drive. It is something that I am perticular about.
