Default Cramond Causeway

Cramond Causeway, near Edinburgh.

The row of concrete pylons were constructed as a submarine defence boom during the 2nd World War. The path along it connects the mainland to Cramond Island.

I remember when I took this shot I was waiting for the tide to cover the rocks at the bottom entirely to get that silky smooth look but the tide was coming in fast. I was stood in the water bare feet as I had left my wellies and I was sinking fast so had to get out! I still managed a long exposure. I hope to go back to this place in future and try another shot and to explore the place further.

Many thanks.
