Why put the flexi on the cat?
Just wrongly ordered a front pipe and then had to buy the cat for my diesel. What a silly way of combining the most expensive part with the most likely to fail. My fault for not paying attention but now have a spare front pipe.

If the cats alright you could have had another flexi welded in place. They cost about a fiver plus an hours labour

Think I may need a new front pipe/flexi as I'm getting exhaust fumes from under the front end.
Had a look at this - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3513392971...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT Might be worth a go for the money.

The aft end of the original flexible joint terminates in the conical part of the front of the cat meaning there is no pipe to form a spigot to attach the clamp on front pipe. It's a grim set up to repair successfully Brian |

I paid £75 for the cat with eurocar parts with a code so not the end of the world. Will check the mount once I fix the tomcat which also went at the flexi.
