Default Some real muck on the inner face of these wheels

This evening I tried to wash and clean the Contour wheels off this CDT and the inside has what feels and looks like tar all over it and I mean a total covering . I cannot shift it so looks like at some point these will have to go for chemical stripping before being refinished.

Will try for a photo in the morning.

Try Bilberry wheel cleaner undiluted, or Iron-X. Should solve the problem!

This is what it looks like now:-

The inner rim was also coated but not as hard or as heavily and that sort of came off. Have used about half a can of wheel cleaning foam on these and had a scrub at them with a non stick pan scourer and it just rips the scourer up. The front face is not coming clean in the corners and around the valves either .

Just years worth of brake dust thats imbedded into the alloy.

That will need the big guns to get it off. Something like this, but go easy its strong stuff.
