Hi All, Is there any advantage in the use of the BMW non filter upgrade rather than the one through Jules at a fraction of the cost.

I suppose it depends on how long you'll be keeping the car. Once it's fitted then you don't have to worry about it again. Saves the faff of changing it. Other than that I can't think of a benefit.

you buy it once, strip the top off of the engine once, risk breaking the injector T's once, risk losing the clips once, risk damaging a leakback pipe once, have peace of mind, never lose venting....

other than that I can't think of a single reason...

I fitted one today, i bought the BMW pct filter when i bought the car in 2010 and trusted a garage to fit it along with some other work. Imagine my surprise today when i took it apart to find the old toilet roll filter still in place. Since i bought the car i have driven 63,000 miles, so removed just in time. You do not have to by the whole unit down you can get the bit that replaces the toilet roll filter very cheaply.
The BMW one cost me i think £48 in 2010.

You know how the engine feels after you've replaced the filter? You can have that feeling all the time.

I'm going to service mine this/next week and guess what I don't have to replace?

Apart from that I can't think of a good reason.

It's cheap enough here
