Are these difficult to fit? Do they just stick over the existing black plastic or does that have to be removed first?

The WDC Kit just fits on top of the existing black plastic - just clean thebsurface well to remove any silicone polish and take care when fitting to ensure that buttons / switches don't foul the wood
