If it is any help Hamster, I change mine every 15k as per the official schedule and use decent quality 10w40 semi-synthetic.

So far nothing lubricated by the oil has ever been changed, and the engine still sounds sweet - as sweet as a diesel can sound of course.

Mine is a manual facelift on 194878.

Onwards and upwards. MGZT-T MK1 front and rear ends fitted, specialist- components in line thermostat mod done, retro fitted cruise control, Mk1 real wood dash fitted, real walnut steering wheel fitted, Pioneer DAB radio fitted.

My Ford Galaxy had a JATCO box which promptly failed at 109K miles,lost the third gear completely diagnosed as a solenoid fail, when we opened the gearbox there was metal shards everywhere!

Mods done: 160 upgrade, EGR bypass, Viton "O" rings, Fitted 16" unions, cleaned manifold, uprated air filter, fog lights, better bulbs, upgraded ICE and full speaker set up.

03 manual 243k, got car at 12k, changed gearbox oil last month, as I have never done it before,
clutch was changed at 70k

still going strong. wish I could say the same for the masters.

Almost 197,000 miles here. 2.0 diesel cdt tuned to 160bhp, 02 plate.

Was there a taxi round Whitby way that had done Around 400,000 miles. Seem to remember a photo of it on here sometime ago? Or perhaps my mind is playing tricks.

Marinabrian has a pic of a Durham taxi that has done mega miles.
