Default Multichanger jumping during track.

I have a Kenwood head unit matched to an original 6 disc Kenwood changer in the boot and recently its started jumping when driving over mildly rough surfaces or small bumps its getting really annoying now is there a cure??

According to this it has an oil-damped suspension system to stop skipping. There might be a tweaker screw inside to adjust the sensitivity.

If not, you could try using some fat rubber/foam washers (between car and mounting bracket) to minimise shocks from road bumps etc.

I have the same setup, from what I have read it is common and the only fix is a replacement or better still an upgraded head unit with maybe built in connectivity.
The foam between the bracket and the unit makes no difference or at least it didn't on mine.

Mine did the same - I put it down to a >10 year old design.

Never used to do it so why would it start now if it was purely down to a poor design?

Is it sitting perfectly horizontal in the boot mount or is it on a slight angle?

It's mounted horizontally in the boot and as far as I'm aware has not moved, but will look into that as well as the other points raised cheers.

The other thing worth trying is a laser lens cleaning disc - like this one http://www.amazon.co.uk/Universal-Le.../dp/B009E317FG
