Remember if you shoot in JPEG then the camera will add a degree of sharpening etc by itself as well

Way before we had digital manipulation peeps used darkroom techniques such as dodging and burning to alter/improve their photos

This has been going on since the dawn of photography and so long as it's done to enhance a photo rather than deceive the viewer then I see no problem

...... and dont forget even using different types of developer, fixer, paper, exposure times and even the type of film used

The topic was a picture of one of the CalMac fleet or a picture of a location that CalMac serve or a picture including both I guess my pic includes both but, it's just that you can't see the ferry
