Default Happy fifth anniversary!

Today I have owned my Rover 75 five years.

Where does the time go?

And it has spent most of that time with chronic niggling gremlin issues and some projects/mods that are only half complete, as well as poor bodywork.

So I now intend to get most of what needs doing done by the end of the year - sill welded, underside undersealed, cooling system fully sorted, PAS weep sorted, AC fixed, slight running issue sorted, remaining options retrofits completed, remote boot release added, all security mods finished, highline fully upgraded. Maybe even get on to sorting my custom steering wheel colour combo (custom doorcard colour combo will have to wait until next year).

On the plus side the car's breakdown stats have improved over the last couple of years - in 2011, 2012 & 2013 I was averaging one breakdown per year, but none since!! Faith rewarded perhaps?

The car is the exact model that I have always wanted, just 56 were made so even though mine was a tad scruffy when purchased (and is, erm, even worse now) for a then bargain price, I'm glad that I didn't hold out for an immaculate example as there might not be one left out of such a small pool - I did look at a couple of others in 2014 but wasn't impressed with them compared to mine. So I intend to keep it for as long as I can

Here's to the next 5 years of ROVERING, or hopefully another 70 years if possible (I think I will give up driving when I reach 100, if I'm still going that this!)
