Thanks, I did not look at that thread. We do not need people talking in that fashion on here, anywhere else and preferably not driving or associated with our or cars imho.

having spent 16 years delivering caravans and statics can answer this a little. Most manufacturers but there plastic panels in. Not many made their own, Avondales, now sadly defunct were one of the few. racking my brains trying to remember the companies name i saw delivering them. External awning rails and trim are universal. This place amongst others sell them http://www.caravanparts.co.uk/index.php
Caravan windows can be got from a company called exhaust ejector, they can remanufacturer most windows.
you have to remember they don't make huge volumes of caravans, so carrying stocks of panels would be impossible and also due to there size would need masses of room.

Well, it's not written off.

The assessor said I need to find a common sense repairer and get it repaired and the cost of that will be well below my £500 excess.

I will get the servicing guy to repair it, at least he is accountable in some way if the repair fails in short time. Plus he is cost effective
