Default Useful tool

Hi Guys

We all know the difficulties in getting wires through difficult places, without having to strip things right down.

I have found a useful tool to be a 'Dipstick' from a rover 75.

Unlike some, the fact that it is thin, bendy, stainless steel rod means that it will reach the most difficult of places. ie. right along the back of dash.

Just cut the black plastic end off, and turn into small hook. You can then feed through, hook your wire/cable on, and pull it on through. Easy peasy

You can also have a spare, leave the black plastic end on, and he ho, you have a plenum tool

Another bonus, its got a handle on it, and being yellow, easy to sot in tool box.

Any one else with tips to share ?

Not a tool as such but one of my favourite 'personalisations'. Courtesy of Specsavers. It's better than finding you're sitting on your parking change

As I used to fit car radios etc. I used a speedo cable to route cables, especially when fitting roof aerials.
I still have them in my tool kit, one thin car one and a longer thicker HGV one.
Of course all speedos are electric nowadays so the old cables would be harder to find.
