Default Fitting xtrons custom fit inplace of hiline

Hi

Had the dreaded water in spare wheel issue that has killed the radio receiver / TV tuner. I have been looking at all the options e.g. repairing, upgrading to BM 24 / 54 etc.

Then I came across this and wondered if it would fit?

http://xtrons.co.uk/pf-7146b-gtd-7-1...-3-series.html

I have done a search and couldn't see anyone had done it. I assume as people upgrade the 4:3 screen to the 16:9 from an E46 that this should fit (maybe with a bit of cutting required!?). May have to check the gap at hte back of the unit will fit too.

From what I understand there should be an ISO connection behind the current hiline unit in the dash and I would need to extend the aerial connection from the boot forward to the dash? I would probably get a camera as well at the same time wire that in too.

Hopefully someone out there may be able to help. Also if there is a better system than the one I found then let me know!

Thanks

Default Nav3

Hi
I fitted a Td717g xtrons with all the bells a whistles at the time but for that money you would probably be better off buying a Nav 3 from Radioguy with the back up from Coolcat
Regards
Steve

The Highline satnav does not have ISO connectors, it has connectors that are from the units in the boot.

You would need an extension cable, from the connector behind the ashtray unit, that has ISO connectors.

Depends on how long the harness that comes with the Xtrons is. I didn't need an extension for my Navall1 that replaced the highline because the supplied harness was long enough.
