OK Mike, this is my second attempt, server fell over 75% of the way through first time.
Wheel with airbag removed. (Pretend the rear is still on). and this is the bit you want off: The first two little suckers you want to remove are the two upper and outer fixings: These fit into "tubes" on the wheel, and are held in with those horrible star washers that hammer on OK but don't like coming back off. My advice having done this is to use a small screwdriver on them and prise a few bits up. You will then be able to hammer the plastic rear piece out (I used a drill bit that just fitted, blank end down, and tapped away until the thing let go). After this, everything else is obvious, either clipped over or push fit. Fitting of the new rear is, as they say, a reverse of the above. Hope this is of some use. Mick |

I used double sided tape and some card to make a template from the radio control side then stuck it on the other side and cut the plastic with a stanley knife
This took literally minutes and was to me a lot less grief than taking the back off the wheel |

My solution was a tad Heath Robinson maybe but it's not seen, and it works. I just cut down a couple of large Rawlplugs, pushed these into the hollow stalks, put the cover in place, and held it all together with a couple of fat-ish screws into the rawlplug. That was a couple of years ago, and nothing's moved since, so don't worry if the fastening are damaged while dismantling, all is not lost........... malcolm
