This a very big upgrade. It involves a lot of stripping down, installation and fiddling with bits - and that's before you've even considered the component parts involved. This thread http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...ead.php?t=2892 details not only how to go about retrofitting a HighLine system but also the parts required to do so.

The retrofit is not impossible, but does require a big investment of both time and labour from yourself.

From this..

To this..

Cost, about £700 [second hand from SMC] and about six to eight hours work.
Not too difficult, and completed by one or two of our members, so some help avaiable with help and advice..

My advice, for what it's worth, would be this; If you're going to expend a lot of time and effort, and presumably expense, do a bit of research first and get the best setup you can afford. Some of the units fitted to ZTs and 75s were out of date when new.

You could start with one with a dvd drive instead of a cd, for instance.

Colin Zola66,

You should know that your heated rear window (designed for the Harmony radio) will not have the 3 element FM array or the Television aerials which are necessary for full operation of the highline 'bordmonitor' head unit. In other words, you won't get TV reception and FM reception will be poor when you leave an area of strong signal.

I recommend that you read carefully the link provided by Simon The Moderator (above).

Simon.
