Default Very wet rear offside carpet

It's rained a lot recently. The mat had about half a pint in it, the carpet is soaking too. Any suggestions?

Also, what's the little rectangular panel under the bonnet release for? It looks like water is coming out of it.

Have you got a sunroof on yours?

Also, the rectangular panel under the bonnet release is where the boot release button usually is. I think the internal boot release button was deleted on some of the later models.

You need to park up hill or drill a drain hole in the rear seat well before the water makes its way to the front -where electrical mayhem will surely follow! Better still plug the leak-plenty advice on here re the usual suspects...
