Default I'm about to buy an other key fob

I'm about to send my immobiliser control box to http://www.remotekey.eu/ to get a second Remote Key Fob (the seller could only provide me one key)

I have two questions.
On a 2005 R75 facelift CDTI where is the immobiliser ? Some people told me behind the gloves box and others said behing the lights switch ?
I live in France so the steering wheel is on the left hand side.

The second question: Will I be able to lock the doors if I send for a few days the immobiliser ? (I haven't any garage)

Thanks for your help.

Hello Jean, the EWS immobiliser box is mounted on the drivers side A pillar behind the light switch.

It is held in place with two TS30 5 point security TORX PLUS

So two self tapping screws, then remove the lower dash trim, three screws to remove and LSM out, then the EWS can be seen through the aperture left by the light switch.

Of course the EWS box only handles the immobilisation side of things, and not the remote central locking, this is controlled by the BCU.

So unless you wish to have just a second key which starts the car, the BCU will need to be programmed also.

This can be done via post of course
