![]() The large part of my tourer rear seat is stuck, the smaller section moves no problem.
The Button moves but the seat will not shift. Anybody got any suggestions please |

![]() I guess your rear seat opener is the same as on my 2003 cdti saloon.
If so the button is supposed to press down and release a bent, fairly thick rod and that rod will have moved forwards or back so the button is not engaging. I managed to release mine by pushing a wide flat blade screwdriver down past the button surround - put it took some time to get it to release. Once you manage it make sure you re-position the rod for next time! |

![]() The centre seatbelt mechanism has failed.
Major surgery to get it to release without damaging something. Cut the belt and find out they are like unicorn tears to get a replacement. The seatbelt will not release unless the seat is locked AND in the upright position. There is a ball bearing inside prohibiting movement outside of these parameters.
